On Thursday, May 13, the seventh edition of The Day of the Hospitalized Child , a very special day dedicated to hospitalized children and adolescents, their families, volunteers and all those professionals who take care of them.

On May 13, 1986, the European Parliament issued the resolution of the Charter of the Rights of the Hospitalized Child, a text that served to put on the table the importance of medical care, especially during the first days of a person's life.

With this objective and coinciding with this day, ATRESMEDIA Foundation pays tribute to hospitalised children, their families, medical-health personnel and volunteers from, together with hospitals, social organisations and civil society, to highlight the work carried out around paediatric healthcare by celebrating the " National Day of the Hospitalized Child ”.
This celebration promoted by the ATRESMEDIA Foundation is organized on May 13 together with more than 200 hospitals throughout Spain (map) and more than 30 social entities of hospital assistance. During the meeting in the hospitals, a manifesto of tribute to the hospitalized children, their families and health personnel was read and then a Mass Kissing Launch all together to the rhythm of the songs of Conchita and Bombai ' A round kiss ' and ' A sea of kisses ’.

In this seventh edition, the celebration will be held inside hospitals and on Social Networks. The Day of the Hospitalised Child 2021 has the participation of "friendly entities" such as the Lilly Foundation, ASISA Foundation, Pfizer and Merck Health Foundation, and more than 30 social healthcare organisations that work directly in hospitals to normalise the stay of hospitalised children, such as the foundations: ALADINA, ABRACADABRA, Theodora, Pequeño Deseo, Menudos Corazones, Spanish Association Against Cancer, Spanish Federation of Parents of Children with Cancer, Curarte, Juegaterapia, Make a Wish, Pallapupas, Somos NUPA, ASION, Blas Mendez Ponce, Cesare Scariolo, Red Cross Youth, Leukemia and Lymphoma, Fun Solidaria, ALS Spain, Once upon a time, Andrea, Asociación Escénicas, PayaSOSpital, Ronald Mcdonald, El sueño de Vicky, Tierra de Hombres, Familias CMV, ACTAYS, HEPA, Purple Warriors, PUPACLOWN and FEDER. VIDEO CALL WITH HOSPITALIZED CHILDREN

One more year, Eva González as ambassador of the Day of the Hospitalized Child will be at the side of hospitalized children and adolescents, although this time virtually due to the pandemic. For this reason, we are going to make a video call connection with Eva González and 4 hospitals: Virgen del Rocío Hospital (Seville), Poniente Hospital (Almeria), A Coruña Hospital Complex and Miguel Servet Hospital (Zaragoza). The singer Conchita and the group Bombai will also join this call, and the hospitals with which we collaborate will be able to see the video that we share on the web and social media.

MANIFESTO OF THE NATIONAL DAY OF THE HOSPITALIZED CHILD

This year we want to once again claim the importance of this day appearing on the calendar and that the Ministry of Health, Consumer Affairs and Social Welfare officially declares May 13 as National Day of the Hospitalized Child. We will share the manifesto so that both hospitals and entities can read it at the celebration and share it on their social networks:

Today we celebrate, for the seventh consecutive year, the Day of the Hospitalized Child.
A day dedicated to paying tribute to all the children admitted, their families, the hospital professionals who cure and care for them and the volunteers who accompany them every day.
On May 13, 1986, the European Parliament issued the resolution of the Charter of the Rights of the Hospitalized Child and today more than 200 hospitals and 30 social entities send kisses in honor of all children who are or have ever been hospitalized. It's a day for them.

Manifesto 2021 National Day of the Hospitalized Child

SPECIAL FAN3 PROGRAMMING AND WHEEL OF FORTUNE WITH TOILETS

The Antena 3 program 'La Ruleta de la Suerte' will broadcast on May 13 a special program dedicated to the Day of the Hospitalized Child in which the contestants will be a pediatrician, a nurse and a hospital classroom teacher.
In addition, the week of the Day of the Hospitalized Child (from May 7) we will have special programming on the FAN3 channel that will include:
• Complete concert by Conchita and Bombai for the Day of the Hospitalized Child
• The two emblematic songs of the Day of the Hospitalized Child sung live at the concert: 'Un beso redondo' and 'Un mar de besos'
• The two original videos for 'Un mar de besos' and 'Un beso redondo'

CELEBRATION IN HOSPITALS AND ON SOCIAL NETWORKS

Hospitals will receive cut-outs in the form of kisses and the Day of the Hospitalized Child logo so that they can stick them on their masks, and we will ask them to send their messages on social networks, tagging us and putting the hashtag #DíaNiñoHospitalizado. In addition, the social entities that support the Day of the Hospitalized Child, as well as the friendly entities, will send us their messages of greeting and support to the children and adolescents admitted to the hospital so that we can share them on our website and social networks.

PLAYBACK CONCHITA

Hospitals will be offered to perform a playback with Conchita's song 'Un beso redondo' in which the children admitted sing the chorus part. This chorus will be joined by the song sung by Conchita and we will have a new version in which hospitalized children will be the protagonists.
