On April 3 and 4, the Foundation because Live will participate in the VIII National Congress of PEDPAL 2025, sharing its experience in occupational therapy, physiotherapy and comprehensive care to improve the lives of families in pediatric palliative care.
Madrid, March 31, 2025.- Foundation because Live a reference in paediatric palliative care, will have an outstanding participation in the VIII National Congress of Pediatric Palliative Care , organized by the PEDOPAL , which will be held on April 3 and 4 in Murcia . This meeting brings together professionals from all over Spain to share advances, experiences and research in the comprehensive care of children with incurable diseases or in an end-of-life situation.

Occupational therapy: a key piece in comprehensive care
María Rodríguez, Occupational Therapist at because Live will present a Oral communication envelope “The role of occupational therapy in comprehensive pediatric palliative care teams" . In it, she will explain how this discipline helps to improve the lives of children and their families through adaptation, stimulation and accompaniment strategies, favoring autonomy and well-being at each stage of the process. It will do so based on the data from the study carried out throughout 2024 that it will present in Congress.
Physiotherapy workshop: movement as a tool for comfort
In addition Alcora de los Santos Mora, Physiotherapist d e the Foundation ,will give a specialized workshop on “The Role of Physical Therapy in Pediatric Palliative Care ”. In this Practical Workshop It will share knowledge on pain management, improving mobility and the importance of physical contact in generating comfort and well-being. And
Four key research projects from the Foundation in Congress
The Foundation because Live will also present Four scientific posters , reflecting its commitment to research, development and communication of new intervention strategies. The works will address:
✅ Caregiver training program , developed by the nursing area, to provide families with tools in home care.
✅ Combined intervention of music therapy and physiotherapy , demonstrating its positive impact on the lives of children and their families.
