Madrid, January 21, 2025.- The Foundation because Live , a leader in the field of Paediatric palliative care in Spain , boosts the well-being of families with its innovative program TAKE CARE OF YOU , designed to encourage self-care, socialization, and strengthening family bonds.
Last Sunday, January 19, 11 children accompanied by their parents enjoyed a Creative Pastry Workshop in the charming Kiwiki Space .
The activity had the collaboration of Sweets.Follies , helping little ones unleash their creativity by decorating delicious cookies with colored sugar.
This event is part of a therapeutic leisure strategy designed to offer families unique and positive moments in a safe and friendly environment.
CUIDAR-TE: A comprehensive program for pediatric palliative care families
The program TAKE CARE OF YOU Its main objective is to generate spaces in which families can enjoy quality time, relieve tensions and improve their psycho-emotional well-being. The Foundation because Live places special emphasis on meeting the needs of:
- Children in paediatric palliative care.
- Brothers and sisters of children with incurable diseases, who also require emotional attention and moments of prominence.
- Primary caregivers, in charge of daily care.
- Healthcare professionals of the Advanced Paediatric Palliative Care Units (APCU), who also need self-care spaces.
"We are aware of how a child's illness disrupts family dynamics. Activities like this not only generate moments of fun, but also strengthen family relationships and allow families to share experiences with others in similar situations," highlights the team of because Live .
Family leisure and well-being
These types of recreational and leisure activities are key tools for the Foundation because:

In this workshop, the families had the support of Leonor Peinado Barranco, Social Worker, and Raquel García Ramo, Psychologist, from the Foundation because Live Aragon.
