We have held a new Mothers' Meeting at the Foundation's headquarters, at 8 Reyes Magos Street, led by Bárbara de Franceschi. Some new mothers have attended, so we began by making a round of presentation of the personal situation of each of them and that of their children. This is one of the purposes of these meetings, for mothers to get to know each other. It is also good that they have the possibility to speak freely about the situation they are experiencing since many of them cannot do so in their daily lives and it is very necessary for them. Most agree that the work of the Paediatric Palliative Care team has been important to them and the peace of mind that comes from knowing that in any eventuality they have their help and support.
We also inform them that we have a group of volunteers who are willing to help them with any possible needs they may have, such as accompanying them to hospital consultations, home visits, etc.
We ended the meeting by doing a relaxation exercise led by Barbara.
