Equine therapy: beyond therapy, a comprehensive experience
The Therapeutic Riding is a way of Professional intervention that uses the horse as a therapeutic agent especially aimed at children with special needs or in palliative care . In these sessions, the animal, guided by professionals, transmits body heat, rhythmic impulses and a locomotion pattern that stimulates both the body and mind of the user.
This type of intervention impacts motor, sensory, cognitive, emotional and social areas.
"From the beginning, this workshop was conceived as a continuous project over time, structured in several editions, precisely to be able to evaluate more accurately the benefits of the intervention and the progressive adaptation of children to the therapeutic environment. Today, three years later, the results observed reaffirm the positive impact of the program."
