The Porque Viven Foundation has received the first prize of the Albert Jovell Awards Forum, in its category No. 3 of the Award for the "Best Intervention Program aimed at patients and/or relatives" developed by scientific societies, professional associations and foundations in the field of health. The award-winning project is "Kurento Telemedicine".
To improve the care of children who require palliative care of the Porque Viven Foundation, we have developed a videoconferencing system that allows us to assist these children who are in home hospitalization and thus guarantee them good care and assistance, avoiding unnecessary hospital admissions. The awards ceremony was held yesterday in the auditorium of the Reina Sofía Art Centre.
We thank Janssen and Cátedras en Red for granting this award that will serve to make the work of the Foundation even more visible and disseminate the need for paediatric palliative care throughout Spain.
