Divercole 2025: games that open your eyes and hearts to diversity

The Foundation because Live present at Divercole, the Conference on diversity, organized by the CEIP Joaquín Costa in Madrid.

Madrid, May 08, 2025.- The Foundation because Live joins the Divercole Conference 2025 , organized by the AFA of the CEIP Joaquín Costa of Madrid between May 8 and 12. This event, which this year extends one more day due to the excellent reception it had in 2024, It brings together students from 3rd to 6th grade of primary school to live a unique experience of empathy, inclusion and learning in a playful environment .

Living in the skin of the other... Playing

Throughout the week, recess is transformed into obstacle courses, gymkhanas and sensory challenges in which children must pass tests blindfolded or in wheelchairs. These dynamics, designed to simulate the physical and sensory barriers that other children face in their daily lives, have the following Objective: To raise awareness of functional diversity from childhood .

 

"Participating in Divercole is a great opportunity to bring the little ones closer to different realities from empathy, without drama and from play," says María Rodríguez Núñez, Occupational Therapist at because Live .

An alliance for inclusion

This initiative also has the collaboration of entities such as the  ELEVEN , which together with the Foundation because Live they contribute their experience in working with vulnerable children and in the defence of a more inclusive society.

 

"The role of the third sector in these spaces is key to sowing social awareness from an early age," adds the spokesperson for because Live .

 

From the educational community, the enthusiasm is also evident. Lucía López García, president of the AFA of the center, stresses that "raising awareness among our sons and daughters from a young age about diversity and inclusion is an investment in the society we want to build."

 

Divercole 2025 is not just a celebration of play: it is a commitment to coexistence, respect and the construction of a more open look at difference. A week that leaves its mark beyond the schoolyard.
