Madrid, July 17, 2024.- The PORQUEVIVEN Foundation has celebrated a very special day in Faunia , the zoo and botanical park of Madrid. This activity has been aimed at families of children in pediatric palliative care with the idea of providing a day full of laughter, excitement and surprises.
Families and their children enjoyed a magical experience that included exploring the jungle, encountering exotic animals, and the wonderful sight of penguins gliding on the ice. Every moment has been full of smiles and surprises, allowing the little ones to interact with nature and live a day of leisure away from the "noises" of the disease.
The day also included an outdoor lunch, where families were able to share stories, experiences and, above all, a lot of love. In addition, the marine mammal show and the flight exhibition of birds of prey put the finishing touch to a day full of emotions and unforgettable memories for the families and the team of the PORQUEVIVEN Foundation.
Ana Alcaide and María Rodríguez, organizers of the activity, say that: "it has been a pleasure to see how the little ones have enjoyed connecting with animals and nature. These moments of joy and connection are critical for them and their families."
The main purpose of the PORQUEVIVEN Foundation is to provide Pediatric Palliative Care and comprehensive support for families of children with incurable diseases. Through these playful activities, the Foundation seeks to improve the lives of children and their families, offering moments of joy, relief and connection that are essential for their emotional and psychological well-being.
These leisure activities that include the whole family are crucial, as they allow children to enjoy enriching experiences and families to share moments of happiness away from the environment of the disease. This not only improves children's mood, but also strengthens family bonds and creates positive memories in the midst of difficult situations. "Seeing the little ones and their families enjoy so much makes it clear to us that every moment counts," says the Foundation's team.
