The Foundation because Live has been awarded in the III Edition of the Contest of Projects Related to the End of Life and/or Grief Aid for its program of emotional and social support to families with children with incurable diseases. This recognition highlights the work that the Foundation carries out in the field of child grief, offering specialised support to families from diagnosis and during all phases of the disease. The award, endowed with €25,000, reinforces the sustainability and continuity of care in paediatric palliative care and bereavement support resources. This recognition also boosts the public visibility of these programs and their ability to reach more families with comprehensive, close and quality care

The Foundation because Live Receives  the 4th Prize for the project "The accompaniment of grief in pediatric palliative care: living a full life caring for a daughter or son with an incurable disease" .

Mr. Javier Ruíz Santiago, d Irector Manager of the Municipal Company of Funeral Services and Cemeteries of Madrid presents the award to Mónica Cantón de Celis , Director of the Foundation because Live Who assures that this is An award for the Pediatric Palliative Care which reinforces the sustainability and continuity of resources for families.

The award, endowed with €25,000, will contribute to promoting the continuity and improvement of therapeutic support and bereavement programmes in paediatric palliative care, reaffirming the Foundation's commitment because Live with comprehensive and close care. The recognition also reinforces the importance of continuing to offer support to child grief from specialized and comprehensive care

The award-winning project addresses the psychological, social and therapeutic support required by families of children with limiting and incurable diseases.

Through Accompaniment groups, therapeutic intervention at home , support for Anticipated duel and care after the loss, the Foundation because Live It offers support, listening and spaces where families can Share, Heal, and Move Forward .

This award will allow strengthen the Psychosocial support programmes and develop New support resources , so that a greater number of families can count on specialized care in the most difficult moments. In addition, it contributes to Making paediatric palliative care visible and the accompaniment of child grief, areas that still require greater social and institutional recognition. In short, this award recognises the work carried out in paediatric palliative care and helps to highlight its contribution to improving the lives of children who cannot be cured and that of their families.
