On 2 and 3 September, the Foundation because Live will give a training workshop on grief in Pontevedra, organized by AMENCER-ASPACE. The objective is to reinforce the training of professionals who accompany children, adolescents and families in situations of loss.

Madrid, August 29, 2025 –The AMENCER-ASPAC Comprehensive Care Center E, organizes the workshop "Comprehensive Grief Care", which will be held in Pontevedra on September 2 and 3.

The training will be given by the Psychosocial Care Team (EAPS) of the Foundation because Live , framed within the Comprehensive Care Program for People with Advanced Diseases ,Powered by "la Caixa" Foundation ”.

Training to take better care of

The workshop seeks to strengthen professional skills around grief, an essential aspect to offer comprehensive and humane care to children and adolescents in vulnerable situations.

The Grief Care It is especially relevant in the educational field, especially when it comes to students with cerebral palsy and other neuromotor pathologies, such as those it treats AMENCER-ASPACE Pontevedra and Vigo .

Among the main objectives of the training are:

• Act effectively in the event of the loss of a child, adolescent or member of the educational community.
• Properly manage the emotions linked to grief, both individually and as a group.
• To offer guidelines and guidance to facilitate decision-making in contexts of loss, increasing the perception of control and security.

Training and commitment to pediatric palliative care

In Spain, specific training in Pediatric Palliative Care It remains inadequate, despite the growing need for teams prepared to care for children with incurable diseases and their families.
