The Spanish Federation of OMMI HUMAN RIGHT has awarded the Porque Viven Foundation in its fourth edition the "Human Right" award. The FPV has been chosen among the finalists for "its important and humanitarian work for the benefit of children who need very special care. And for their incessant work and exemplary commitment in the struggle for human dignity in their lives, and that of their families"

This award has previously been awarded in its first edition to the "Association for Historical Memory", in the second to "Doctors Without Borders", in the third to Amnesty International.

The award ceremony took place on September 16 in Madrid. On behalf of the Foundation, Mr. José Carlos López Seisdedos attended, who has recently joined the Porque Viven Foundation as Director and Naomi Seki, responsible for its projects.

The award was presented by Mr. Manuel López Álvarez, President of the Federation, and Mrs. Ólga San Román, who was responsible for promoting our candidacy for the award.

We would like to thank this recognition that helps us to be better known in various areas of society. As our director stated in his words of gratitude: "the beautiful thing about this award is that it opens up the possibility of disseminating something that is unknown, palliative care in general and paediatric care in particular. In Spain it is something relatively new, we do not have a culture of palliatives, as it happens in other European countries".
