Psychological care

This care includes managing the emotional impact of the disease on the child and their family environment, helping them to cope with the diagnosis, evolution and, in some cases, farewell, with a personalised approach. Support is also provided to health professionals to prevent emotional exhaustion and strengthen their capacity for accompaniment. Psychological care is a key component to ensure comprehensive well-being in pediatric palliative care.

Social care

In the Foundation because Live We work to support and guide families in the management of the circumstances arising from the disease, such as family reorganization, organization of care, adaptation of housing, conflict resolution, participation in the community, recognition of their rights, available social resources, farewell process, etc.

Our social intervention is based on ethical principles and values such as dignity, respect, self-determination, equal opportunities and social justice, ensuring that families receive the necessary support to make informed decisions and face the process with confidence and serenity.

Spiritual accompaniment

We provide comprehensive accompaniment to children, their families and the professionals who care for them, in their spiritual and existential dimension, throughout the process of illness and the end of life. This accompaniment is not necessarily tied to a specific religion, but focuses on respect and attention to each person's beliefs, values, and spiritual needs.

It seeks to provide comfort, give meaning to suffering, and promote inner peace, helping families find strength in times of great difficulty.

Bereavement Care

In Foundation because Live We work to accompany families in this difficult process, helping them to manage pain, accept loss and adapt to a new reality. Our approach addresses the psychological, social and spiritual dimensions of grief, offering tools to cope with it in a healthy way, respecting the individual needs of each family.

Through therapeutic groups and personalized interventions, we promote emotional expression and the normalization of grief, with the aim of preventing long-term psychological complications. This specialized care allows families to find support in a safe environment, sharing experiences and strengthening their resources to rebuild their lives after the loss.
